Today is the day. Lanvin arrives to H&M. I've promised myself I would never, ever, write anything about the cooperation between Lanvin and H&M. Let's be honest, there's so many articles, posts and videos around it that it has almost turned into a circus! Call me a snob, but I have never stood up in line, for hours, waiting with a bunch of happy crazy teenagers and some very uncomfortable mothers pretending to be bothered with the fact that they're in line for something which they are not that interested in buying. Yep, we all believe it.
It's not that I don't appreciate the overall concept. God save H&M for all the successful and smart partnerships with major high end brands, such as Sonia Rykiel beautiful collection, Karl Lagerfeld signature pieces, Jimmy Choo (for those who like bland design), and many others that have allowed the masses to reach créateurs pieces for a great affordable price! By saying that, I just want to excuse myself, and please, don't get me wrong, I am a true follower of Alber Elbaz work. Thank God that Tom Ford dismissed him from YSL Rive Gauche giving him the opportunity to be fished by, in my opinion, one of the greatest fashion houses of all times. So no, I won't be purchasing any outfit from the most expected marriage of the season. I give up H&M and just stick into my Lanvin affair. Oh yeah. This year, all I want for Christmas is Lanvin!!!!
And because I could not finish this post without a respectful homage to mon cher Alber, I leave you guys with the fabulous Lanvin hearts H&M show in New York. The collection is truly wonderful :)
